The puppies meet the bottle baby lambs!
In order to keep track of puppies and lambs in and take
pictures too I boxed them into a small area using crates and
boxes. It only *kind* of worked!
This is boy number two. He liked the lambs very much
from the moment he met then and did a lot of lamb butt
washing!
This is female puppy number one. She never did lose
interest in the lambs whether she was in the whelping
box or out with the lambs. She was totally fascinated
with them!
Mighty mouse's immediate reaction at seeing the lambs
was to climb out of the box! As you can see the
horizontal board make that very hard to do, and keeps me
from having puppies underfoot all day long! But she still
managed to get out to check out that lamb! She's half the
size of the other puppies but what she lacks in size she
makes up for in attitude thats for sure!
Daisy telling Hatter to stay away from the fence. He was
determined to go check out our livestock guardian dogs
and she was just as determined not to let him!

Hatter coming when i called him!
Hatter and boy one learning to herd the bottle lambs. They
figured out very quickly how to make the lambs move and
were pretty good at moving them for such tiny pups! They
never did get aggressive or out of control. They just used
their bodies to make those lambs go where they wanted
them to go! I was really impressed!
Hatter, boy one and girl one herding lambs! And incase
anyone is wondering the lambs were enjoying the games
as much as the puppies were!

Hopefully this weekend I'll get some video of the pups
herding lambs. Its really amazing to watch how their
instincts kick in!
