Daisy and Zach's puppies at 1 week!
Here are photos of the pups at one week of age. All are tricolored. I'll get some photos
this week that show all of their markings better but all of them have white feet and a
white tip on their tail as well as tan on their faces and legs and most have at least small
white collars and all have white blazes. You can click on each photo to bring it up to a
full sized photo.

This is a photo of Daisy right after the puppies were born. I had taken them all to get a
quick photo of each and to check them over carefully. When I put them back she nosed
each one..I think she was counting to make sure that I had brought them all back!

Daisy is extremely sweet and very biddable. She lives to please her humans! She's just
now learning to work the stock but she's doing a fine job. Her favorite job is keeping an
eye on my 2 year old grandson and she does it well!
Zach was only about a year old in this photo but he was already showing his stuff as a
hard worker. He's bigger now and more solid weighing in at 70 lbs. I had just walked
towards the calf with my camera planning to get a photo of the calf when Zach ran to
him and waited to see what I wanted him to do with the calf! Thats what Zach is all
about. He lives to work.

He keeps the sheep back when I am putting their feed out. He holds any animal that I
ask him to hold, whether its a sheep, a chicken or a pig and never puts a scratch on
them in the process. And most important of all to me is that he *always* has my back!
He keeps the rams away from me on a daily basis. He kept Bucky, the calf in the
photo, away from me when he was a 1000 lb cow and still charging me for a bottle
whenever he saw me. He saved me from a serious pig bite when one of the pigs
decided to take a hunk out of my leg (that time he applied teeth but I was glad he did
and the pig was still fine). He's my constant shadow on the farm. Always ready to
hold a gate or carry a feed bucket.

Once he wasn't around and I called and called and he didn't come. I was very
worried. About that time my son, who was visiting the farm, came back to the house
with his girlfriend and Zach. They had wandered into Bucky's pasture without
realizing how dangerous he had became and Zach had instinctively known to leave
me and go with them to protect them from the cow.  Chris said he held Bucky about
20' from them until they were safely out of the cow pasture. Hes my right hand man. I
couldnt run my homestead without him!
Puppies are priced at $250. They'll have their first series of shots and have been
